Analysis: Remarkably, the 37-year-old played with the injury in four of the six games of San Jose's opening-round playoff series with Edmonton. It may have been Thornton's final run with the Sharks, and his age and health status figure to weigh heavily on his market value. The six-time All-Star and 1,391-point scorer did show he can still produce when healthy, recording seven goals and 43 assists over 79 games in his 19th NHL season and 12th with San Jose.
