Analysis: Nets general manager Billy King said Thursday that Gaines was injured in the first quarter of Wednesday's game at Cleveland. He said Gaines will be on crutches for six to eight weeks and will then start a rehab program. The 24-year-old out the University of Georgia has appeared in 10 games with the Nets this season, averaging 5.5 points and 2.5 assists in 14.6 minutes.
