Analysis: After being hurt and contributing nothing in Cleveland, Powe has been a valuable player so far for Memphis. He's averaged 8.6 points and shot 65.4 percent over his last five games as the Grizzlies have gone 4-1.

Analysis: The 6-foot-8 Powe averaged 5.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in 14 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers this season before he was waived on Feb. 24. He also brings playoff experience, serving as a key reserve for the Boston Celtics during their 2007-08 championship season. Memphis now has three players with playoff experience as the Grizzlies make a run at the postseason. They are eighth in the Western Conference with a key game against fourth-place Oklahoma City on Monday.

Analysis: Powe, who has been slowed by knee injuries, played in 34 games with Cleveland since signing as a free agent before the 2009 season. He averaged 4.4 points and 2.9 rebounds. He previously played for the Boston Celtics. Cavaliers general manager thanked Powe for his contributions on and off the court.

Analysis: Powe had the successful procedure Friday after an MRI exam revealed the injury, which was originally believed to be a bone bruise. Powe overcame a torn ACL in his left knee while playing for Boston during the 2009 playoffs to play 20 games with the Cavaliers in 2009-10. He has appeared in 14 games this season, averaging 5.0 points.
