Analysis: Diener, a 6-foot-1 point guard, played four games for Indiana earlier this season before undergoing surgery on his big toe. The Pacers released him on Monday. The 28-year-old Diener began his career in Orlando and posted career-highs of 6.9 points and 3.8 assists in 2007-08 with the Pacers.
