Aug. 17 9:26 AM PT10:26 AM MT11:26 AM CT12:26 PM ET16:26 GMT0:26 9:26 AM MST11:26 AM EST20:26 UAE18:2612:26 ET11:26 AM CT15:26 - The Heat re-signed Udrih on Wednesday, adding depth to their backcourt. Terms were not disclosed but the Miami Herald reported the deal is for one year at the veteran's minimum of $1.4 million.
Analysis: Udrih, 34, has appeared in 792 NBA regular-season games (272 starts) during his 12-year career, averaging 8.5 points, 3.4 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 22.3 minutes while shooting 46.3 percent from the floor, 34.9 percent from 3-point range and 83 percent from the foul line. Udrih averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 assists and 16.3 minutes in 36 games for the Heat last season after a November trade from the Memphis Grizzlies.
Feb. 29 2:09 PM PT3:09 PM MT4:09 PM CT5:09 PM ET22:09 GMT6:09 3:09 PM MST5:09 PM EST2:09 UAE (+1)23:0917:09 ET4:09 PM CT21:09 - Udrih was waived Monday by the Miami Heat, a move that could help the team get back under the luxury-tax threshold.
Analysis: Udrih had surgery to repair a foot injury last week, and is expected to need three months to recover. If he is claimed by another team by Wednesday, the Heat would have the flexibility to add another player in the coming days and still remain below the tax line. If Udrih is unclaimed, a buyout would likely take effect.
Feb. 23 7:02 PM PT8:02 PM MT9:02 PM CT10:02 PM ET3:02 GMT11:02 8:02 PM MST10:02 PM EST7:02 UAE (+1)04:0222:02 ET9:02 PM CT2:02 - Udrih has a tear in the bottom of his right foot, and Miami's backup point guard is looking at a three-month rehabilitation after surgery is performed to correct the issue. It's a doubly tough blow for the Heat, who are running low on players and are in a precarious spot when it comes to finding ways to sign outside help.
Analysis: Udrih's procedure will likely take place later this week. Udrih was acquired in a trade from Memphis earlier this season. He averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 assists in 36 games with the Heat, primarily as the backup to starting point guard and fellow Slovenian Goran Dragic.
Jan. 19 8:11 PM PT9:11 PM MT10:11 PM CT11:11 PM ET4:11 GMT12:11 9:11 PM MST11:11 PM EST8:11 UAE05:1123:11 ET10:11 PM CT2:11 - Udrih returned Monday.
Analysis: Udrih was out since Jan. 15 due to a neck strain.
Nov. 10 2:23 PM PT3:23 PM MT4:23 PM CT5:23 PM ET22:23 GMT6:23 3:23 PM MST5:23 PM EST2:23 UAE (+1)23:2317:23 ET4:23 PM CT20:23 - Mario Chalmers and James Ennis were traded Tuesday from Miami to the Memphis Grizzlies, in exchange for Udrih and Jarnell Stokes in a move that gets the Heat closer to avoiding luxury-tax penalties.
Analysis: Udrih averaged 5.9 points in eight games with the Grizzlies and is making about $2.2 million this season.
