Analysis: Andersen, best known for his tattoos and hustle on the floor, suffered a season-ending injury to his right knee during practice on Dec. 16 and underwent surgery. The 38-year-old nicknamed Birdman has remained with the club during his rehab.

Cleveland was in need of a backup center after Timofey Mozgov signed with the Lakers.
Analysis: Andersen, 38, is entering his 15th season in the league. He spent two years with James in Miami, winning a championship in 2013. Last year, Andersen began the season with the Heat but was traded after only seven games to the Grizzlies. Between the Heat and Grizzlies, Andersen averaged 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds in 27 games.
