Analysis: The 7-foot Haywood missed three of the team's last four games due to left ankle soreness. He had an MRI on Wednesday and a CT scan ordered by foot specialist Dr. Bob Anderson confirmed the stress reaction. Haywood will be in a walking boot for the next four weeks.

An 11-year NBA veteran, the 7-foot Haywood helps fills a void at center.
Analysis: Haywood, who grew up in Greensboro and played collegiately at North Carolina - the same alma mater as owner Michael Jordan - was cut loose by the Mavericks using the amnesty clause. Haywood has played in 733 career games for the Wizards and Mavericks with 531 starts, averaging 7.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 23.7 minutes. His career field-goal percentage of .534 ranks seventh among active players and 28th in NBA history.

Analysis: In 154 games with Dallas, Haywood averaged 5.4 points and 5.9 rebounds and was part of it 2011 NBA championship. He was acquired from Washington in Feb. 2010 as part of a seven-player deal.
