Analysis: Terms of the contract announced Monday weren't released, but it is reportedly a one-year deal for the veteran minimum of $1.4 million. Jefferson started 78 games for Utah last year but figures to be used as a 3-point threat coming off the bench. That was the role last season for Carter, who signed with Memphis as a free agent. The 34-year-old Jefferson has averaged 14.5 points and 4.5 rebounds over his 13-year career.

Analysis: The Utah forward, averaging 10.2 points this season, had a combined 25 in his previous three games.
Dec. 11 8:29 PM PT9:29 PM MT10:29 PM CT11:29 PM ET4:29 GMT12:29 9:29 PM MST11:29 PM EST8:29 UAE05:2923:29 ET10:29 PM CT2:29 - Jefferson shot 7 of 9 and scored a team-high 20 points in Wednesday's 122-101 win at Sacramento.
Analysis: Despite his big night, Jefferson is averaging just 10.1 points. Fantasy owners should look elsewhere for scoring help.
July 10 2:09 PM PT3:09 PM MT4:09 PM CT5:09 PM ET21:09 GMT5:09 2:09 PM MST4:09 PM EST1:09 UAE (+1)23:0917:09 ET4:09 PM CT20:09 - The NBA has confirmed the three-team trade that will send swingman Andre Iguodala to the Golden State Warriors, guard Randy Foye to the Denver Nuggets and a trio of expiring contracts along with a package of draft picks to the Utah Jazz.
Analysis: The trade announced Wednesday started when the Warriors reached a free agent agreement with Iguodala on a four-year, $48 million deal last week. Golden State cleared more than $24 million by sending Jefferson, Andris Biedrins and Brandon Rush to the Jazz along with four draft picks and cash.
