July 27 8:30 AM PT9:30 AM MT10:30 AM CT11:30 AM ET15:30 GMT23:30 8:30 AM MST10:30 AM EST19:30 UAE17:3011:30 ET10:30 AM CT14:30 - A person familiar with the trade says the Cavaliers have traded Miller and center Brendan Haywood to Portland to create salary-cap room and save luxury-tax money.
Analysis: The Blazers are expected to cut Haywood, who barely played for Cleveland last season. Miller was signed last summer, bringing playoff experience and 3-point shooting to the Cavs, but he was hardly used in the playoffs.
June 30 12:10 PM PT1:10 PM MT2:10 PM CT3:10 PM ET19:10 GMT3:10 12:10 PM MST2:10 PM EST23:10 UAE21:1015:10 ET2:10 PM CT18:10 - The Cavaliers said forward Mike Miller exercised his $2.85-million option for next season.
Analysis: Miller averaged 2.1 points in limited action this season.
May 4 3:28 PM PT4:28 PM MT5:28 PM CT6:28 PM ET22:28 GMT6:28 3:28 PM MST5:28 PM EST2:28 UAE (+1)00:2818:28 ET5:28 PM CT21:28 - Miller was a surprise starter for Game 1 against Chicago. With Cleveland missing starters Kevin Love and J.R. Smith, Cavs coach David Blatt decided to go with Miller, who made 15 regular-season starts. The 15-year veteran's addition to the lineup was mildly shocking since Blatt also had James Jones and Shawn Marion as options.
Analysis: Miller has plenty of playoff experience with Orlando, Memphis and Miami. He has averaged 5.4 points in 85 postseason games. Love is out for the remainder of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery. He was injured in Cleveland's series-clinching win over Boston. Smith is suspended from the first two games of the Eastern Conference semifinals for striking Celtics guard Jae Crowder in the face.
Dec. 18 8:49 AM PT9:49 AM MT10:49 AM CT11:49 AM ET16:49 GMT0:49 9:49 AM MST11:49 AM EST20:49 UAE17:4911:49 ET10:49 AM CT14:49 - Miller is in the Cleveland Cavaliers' starting lineup for the first time this season after missing seven games because of a concussion.
Analysis: Coach David Blatt announced the move before the Cavaliers' game Friday night against Brooklyn. Miller was set to start at shooting guard, while Shawn Marion was tabbed to come off the bench at small forward after starting 21 straight games.
July 15 2:10 PM PT3:10 PM MT4:10 PM CT5:10 PM ET21:10 GMT5:10 2:10 PM MST4:10 PM EST1:10 UAE (+1)23:1017:10 ET4:10 PM CT20:10 - Miller has agreed to a $5.5 million, two-year contract with the Cavaliers, re-uniting the sharpshooting forward with LeBron James, his former teammate in Miami.
Analysis: Miller was teammates for three seasons with James in Miami. Last season, Miller played in 82 games for Memphis. He shot 46 percent (107 of 233) on 3-pointers.
