Nov. 3 1:52 PM PT2:52 PM MT3:52 PM CT4:52 PM ET9:52 PM GMT5:52 AM 北京时间-Hamels isn't ready to call it a season. Hamels wants to pitch again if the Phillies need him against the New York Yankees in the World Series.
Analysis: Hamels angered fans and created a stir on talk radio with his comments after his latest poor outing Saturday night. He clarified those remarks after the Phillies avoided elimination with an 8-6 victory in Game 5 on Monday night. "Sometimes I might not say the best things or the smartest things, but I've learned and am learning," Hamels said. "I wasn't able to sleep the past couple of nights because of it."
Oct. 9 12:35 PM PT1:35 PM MT2:35 PM CT3:35 PM ET8:35 PM GMT4:35 AM 北京时间-Hamels allowed four runs and seven hits in five innings of the Phillies' 5-4 loss to the Rockies in Game 2 of the NLDS.
Analysis: Hamels, the World Series and NLCS MVP last year, looked nothing like the guy who was brilliant during Philadelphia's championship run last October. He didn't stick around after being pulled for a pinch hitter, heading to the hospital to join his wife, Heidi, who was in labor with the couple's first child. "It could've bothered him, yes," Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said.
Sep. 18 1:26 PM PT2:26 PM MT3:26 PM CT4:26 PM ET9:26 PM GMT5:26 AM 北京时间-Hamels took a perfect game into the sixth inning, masterfully using his changeup while matching a season high with 10 strikeouts and leading the Phillies to a 4-2 win over the Nationals on Thursday night.
Analysis: Hamels (10-9), the MVP of last season's NL championship series and World Series, allowed one run and five hits in eight strong innings. He even chipped in with an opposite-field RBI single to help the Phillies win their fifth straight game. Hamels is 3-1 with a 1.43 ERA over his last five starts.
Sep. 2 3:36 PM PT4:36 PM MT5:36 PM CT6:36 PM ET11:36 PM GMT7:36 AM 北京时间-Hamels pitched a two-hitter, striking out nine and walking one, for his fourth career shutout and second this season Tuesday in the Phillies' 1-0 win over the Giants.
Analysis: The left-hander extended his scoreless innings streak to 19, tying a career best, and won for the first time since July 28 against Arizona. Hamels retired 24 in a row after Ryan Garko's second-inning hit.
Aug. 27 4:24 PM PT5:24 PM MT6:24 PM CT7:24 PM ET12:24 AM GMT8:24 AM 北京时间-Hamels pitched shutout ball for the first time in 2 1/2 months, allowing seven hits over eight innings, but didn't get a win as the Phillies beat the Pirates 4-1 in 10 innings on Wednesday.
Analysis: Hamels, who came into the game 0-3 with a 6.75 ERA in August, is 7-8 after going a combined 29-15 the previous two seasons.
Aug. 22 11:24 AM PT12:24 PM MT1:24 PM CT2:24 PM ET7:24 PM GMT3:24 AM 北京时间-Hamels continued to struggle on Friday, allowing four runs and 10 hits in five innings of a 4-2 loss to the Mets.
Analysis: He's 0-3 with a 6.75 ERA in four August starts. "It's just a matter of getting more consistent, putting a couple good outings back to back," Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said. "It's a feel. And like right now, he lacks his, what I call his real good feel and his smoothness and his command of pitching."
Aug. 16 9:55 AM PT10:55 AM MT11:55 AM CT12:55 PM ET5:55 PM GMT1:55 AM 北京时间-Hamels worked six innings Saturday, allowing three hits with four walks and two strikeouts as the Braves rallied in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Phillies 4-3.
Analysis: He didn't pitch terribly deep into the game, but bounced back after a pair of ugly starts. Hamels has been 0-2 with an 8.71 ERA in those outings.
Aug. 9 12:17 PM PT1:17 PM MT2:17 PM CT3:17 PM ET8:17 PM GMT4:17 AM 北京时间-The frustrating season continues for Hamels, who gave up four runs, five hits and walked four in 5 1-3 innings of a 6-4 loss to Florida on Saturday.
Analysis: Hamels allowed seven runs in his previous start, and his ERA swelled to 4.77 after he finished last year with a 3.09 mark. He didn't speak to reporters after the game, making his problems even more mysterious.
Aug. 3 2:45 PM PT3:45 PM MT4:45 PM CT5:45 PM ET10:45 PM GMT6:45 AM 北京时间-Hamels suffered his first loss in a month, giving up all seven runs in Sunday's 7-3 in San Francisco.
Analysis: Hamels (7-6, 4.68 ERA) was undefeated in four previous career starts against the Giants. He'll likely start Saturday night against Florida. Hamels is 0-3 with a 4.68 ERA in his last six outings versus the Marlins.
Jul. 29 3:10 PM PT4:10 PM MT5:10 PM CT6:10 PM ET11:10 PM GMT7:10 AM 北京时间-Hamels allowed one run in eight innings as the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-3 on Tuesday night.
Analysis: Hamels gave up four hits, walked none and struck out nine. He won back-to-back starts for the first time since June 4. "Hamels is getting there,'' Philadelphia manager Charlie Manuel said. "He's real close.''
Jul. 24 12:52 PM PT1:52 PM MT2:52 PM CT3:52 PM ET8:52 PM GMT4:52 AM 北京时间-Hamels allowed three runs and four hits while striking out six in seven innings of a 9-4 win over San Diego on Thursday.
Analysis: Hamels hasn't pitched like the guy who was MVP of the NLCS and World Series last year, going 6-5 with a 4.66 ERA. In his last five starts, he has had three quality starts, but has been tagged for 12 runs over 10 innings in the other two.
Jul. 7 9:04 AM PT10:04 AM MT11:04 AM CT12:04 PM ET5:04 PM GMT1:04 AM 北京时间-Hamels held the Reds to one run and three hits in seven innings and got plenty of help from his offense in a 22-1 win Monday night. Hamels did his part at the plate as well, going 2 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.
Analysis: Hamels snapped three-start losing streak during which he'd posted a 7.02 ERA. The reigning World Series MVP had failed to make it out of the fifth inning in each of his previous two outings. He was also 2 for 20 (.100) with one RBI before his strong day at the plate Monday.
Jun. 26 7:12 PM PT8:12 PM MT9:12 PM CT10:12 PM ET3:12 AM GMT11:12 AM 北京时间-Hamels was ejected from Friday's game against the Blue Jays for arguing balls and strikes with plate umpire Mark Carlson.
Analysis: The ejection came after Hamels was removed for right-hander Chan Ho Park with two outs in the fifth and the Phillies trailing 4-0. With manager Charlie Manuel and the rest of the Phillies infield at the mound, Carlson walked out to break up the conference and Manuel signaled to the bullpen. Hamels, winless in his last four starts, began arguing with Carlson as he walked alone to the dugout and was ejected just after crossing the foul line.
Jun. 22 3:03 PM PT4:03 PM MT5:03 PM CT6:03 PM ET11:03 PM GMT7:03 AM 北京时间-Hamels allowed two runs, nine hits and no walks with a season-high 10 strikeouts in eight innings of a 2-1 loss to Baltimore on Sunday.
Analysis: Hamels, who hasn't won since June 4, has yielded just four runs in 14 innings over his past two starts.
Jun. 11 2:30 PM PT3:30 PM MT4:30 PM CT5:30 PM ET10:30 PM GMT6:30 AM 北京时间-Hamels allowed four runs in five innings as the Phillies defeated the New York Mets 5-4 in 11 innings on Wednesday.
Analysis: Hamels gave up 11 hits, matching a career high.
Jun. 5 11:25 AM PT12:25 PM MT1:25 PM CT2:25 PM ET7:25 PM GMT3:25 AM 北京时间-Hamels had another strong performance at Dodger Stadium on Thursday night, earning his first shutout of the season in a 3-0 victory.
Analysis: Hamels, who won the clinching game of the NLCS in Los Angeles, retired 18 of the last 20 batters and struck out five for his third career shutout. He will likely pitch Wednesday night in New York and is 0-3 with a 5.82 ERA in his last three starts versus the Mets.
May 31 12:23 PM PT1:23 PM MT2:23 PM CT3:23 PM ET8:23 PM GMT4:23 AM 北京时间-Hamels gave up six runs and eight hits in six innings but still picked up a win Saturday in the Phillies' 9-6 victory over the Nationals.
Analysis: He struck out seven in his worst start this season since allowing seven against Colorado to open the season. "I pitched pretty bad and made a lot of mistakes,'' Hamels said. "They're a good hitting team and you can't make mistakes and can't take them lightly.''
May 20 10:04 AM PT11:04 AM MT12:04 PM CT1:04 PM ET6:04 PM GMT2:04 AM 北京时间-Hamels won for the second time in three starts in Tuesday night's 4-3 win in Cincinnati.
Analysis: Hamels (2-2, 4.95 ERA) has a 2.31 ERA in his last four starts after recording a 9.69 ERA while losing two of his first three this season. He is 4-0 in five career starts against the Reds, allowing five earned runs in 36 innings.
May 15 11:40 AM PT12:40 PM MT1:40 PM CT2:40 PM ET7:40 PM GMT3:40 AM 北京时间-Hamels struck out nine and allowed just one run in seven innings as Philadelphia lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-3 in 10 innings on Thursday.
Analysis: Hamels is 1-0 with a 1.56 ERA in his last three starts.
May 9 1:35 PM PT2:35 PM MT3:35 PM CT4:35 PM ET9:35 PM GMT5:35 AM 北京时间-Hamels pitched six impressive innings to earn his first win since the World Series, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Atlanta Braves 10-6 on Friday night.
Analysis: Making his first start since spraining his left ankle on April 28, Hamels allowed two runs, three hits and struck out seven. Hamels was MVP of the NL championship series and World Series last year, but struggled the first month mostly because of a series of freak injuries. The ace lefty looked like his old self against the Braves, mixing a sharp fastball with his trademark changeup. Hamels retired the first 11 batters before Chipper Jones' infield single in the fourth.
May 9 10:00 AM PT11:00 AM MT12:00 PM CT1:00 PM ET6:00 PM GMT2:00 AM 北京时间-Hamels ran in the outfield to test his injured left ankle a day after the Phillies bumped him from Tuesday's scheduled start, and manager Charlie Manuel said the left-hander was on track to start Friday at Atlanta.
Analysis: Hamels, 0-2 with a 7.27 ERA, was hurt on April 28 trying to field a bunt. Brett Myers took Hamels' spot on Tuesday in St. Louis.
Apr. 28 6:18 PM PT7:18 PM MT8:18 PM CT9:18 PM ET2:18 AM GMT10:18 AM 北京时间-Hamels is feeling fine a day after being hit in the left shoulder by a line drive, and expects to make his next start as scheduled.
Analysis: The 2008 World Series MVP left Thursday's game against Milwaukee in the fourth inning after being struck by Prince Fielder's liner. "Cole says he feels good,'' manager Charlie Manuel said Friday. "He says he doesn't have any soreness. He said he thought he might be sore and he's not. Right now he's in his regular turn." Hamels is expected to throw on the side Saturday and then start Tuesday against Washington. The left-hander is 0-2 with a 9.69 ERA in three starts.
Apr. 18 12:13 PM PT1:13 PM MT2:13 PM CT3:13 PM ET8:13 PM GMT4:13 AM 北京时间-Hamels had another shaky outing Friday, allowing five runs and eight hits - including three homers - in six innings of a 9-8 loss to San Diego, but was not a factor in the decision.
Analysis: Hamels had his opening-day start pushed back because of minor elbow troubles in spring training. There was cause for some concern after he allowed seven runs and 11 hits in 3 2-3 innings of a 10-3 loss at Colorado in his first start last week. This start was only slightly better. "He definitely improved," manager Charlie Manuel said. "When he gets better command, he’ll be all right."
Apr. 6 10:10 PM PT11:10 PM MT12:10 AM CT1:10 AM ET6:10 AM GMT2:10 PM 北京时间-Hamels is expected to make his season debut Friday in Colorado. The NLCS and World Series MVP missed the Phillies' season-opening 4-1 loss Sunday night to visiting Atlanta because of minor elbow problems.
Analysis: Hamels, who finished 14-10 with a 3.09 ERA and a career-high 196 strikeouts, last faced the Rockies in Game 1 of the 2007 Division Series, giving up three runs in 6 2-3 innings in a 4-2 loss.
Mar. 24 4:57 PM PT5:57 PM MT6:57 PM CT7:57 PM ET12:57 AM GMT8:57 AM 北京时间-Hamels says he feels good after his first start since experiencing elbow tightness last week.
Analysis: The World Series MVP threw 3 2-3 scoreless innings in a minor league game Tuesday at Philadelphia's spring training complex. It was his first game appearance since receiving an anti-inflammatory shot in his arm last Tuesday. If all continues to go well, Hamels would pitch a day or two before opening day, meaning he wouldn't be on the mound when the World Series champions open the season April 5 against Atlanta.
Mar. 17 10:43 AM PT11:43 AM MT12:43 PM CT1:43 PM ET6:43 PM GMT2:43 AM 北京时间-Hamels will return to camp after a team physician found no damage in his sore left elbow. General manager Ruben Amaro Jr. says Dr. Michael Ciccotti reported no structural damage to the joint after looking at the left-hander's pitching elbow Tuesday in Philadelphia.
Analysis: Last season's World Series MVP received an injection to relieve inflammation and should be cleared to throw by Thursday. Hamels' status for the April 5 opener against Atlanta is unclear. The team will continue to monitor his recovery when he returns to camp.
Mar. 16 11:15 AM PT12:15 PM MT1:15 PM CT2:15 PM ET7:15 PM GMT3:15 AM 北京时间-Hamels is scheduled to leave training camp Monday afternoon and fly to Philadelphia to have his left elbow examined by the team physician.
Analysis: "He's had a little bit of a persistent soreness in his elbow - we do not believe it's serious,'' Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said. Hamels, the World Series MVP last fall, went 4-0 with a 1.80 ERA in five postseason starts in October.
