Analysis: Victorino, activated from the disabled list last week after missing the first 22 games with a hamstring injury, finished 4 for 4 to hike his batting average from .133 to .316. He singled in his first two at-bats, hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth and added an RBI double during Boston's five-run sixth.

The World Series champions made the move before Monday's opener at Baltimore. Jackie Bradley Jr. was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket and Daniel Nava started in right field against the Orioles.
Analysis: Manager John Farrell says Victorino has a Grade 1 strain and that the injury "is going to require some down time." Victorino was hurt while running the bases Saturday in Boston's final exhibition game. The move is retroactive to Sunday, the day an MRI revealed the strain.

Analysis: Victorino strained his hamstring while running the bases in Saturday's exhibition finale. He accompanied the team to Baltimore over the weekend, but left for Boston on Sunday to receive an MRI. Manager John Farrell said Victorino would also receive "a full workup and exam" on Monday morning.
