Analysis: Lopez, picked up from the White Sox for right-hander David Riske in June 2006, appeared in seven games, going 0-2 with a 9.26 ERA. "He's a nice kid," Red Sox manager Terry Francona said. "It was hard, but he was having trouble getting people out."

Analysis: The loss ended Boston's 11-game winning streak. Lopez dropped a ball thrown to him by Kevin Youkilis while getting over to first base. It was his first error of the season. Lopez had pitched two-thirds inning of relief.
