Analysis: The Red Sox recalled outfielder Josh Reddick from Triple-A Pawtucket. He was available for Thursday night's game in New York against the Yankees. With outfielder Jason Bay expected to miss at least the first two games of the four-game series because of a bad hamstring, the Red Sox shifted Gold Glove first baseman Kevin Youkilis to left field.

Analysis: X-rays on Baldelli's knee revealed no damage. Baldelli was hurt when he slid while trying to catch a foul pop from Aaron Hill. Baldelli made the grab as he hit the low, padded wall but the impact knocked the ball out of his glove.

Analysis: Baldelli was placed on the disabled list April 21 after injuring his left hamstring. He batted leadoff and was the designated hitter for the PawSox, who beat Toledo 2-1.

Analysis: Baldelli, who agreed to a one-year contract with the Red Sox in January, is 3-for-13 with an RBI, two runs and one walk in five games this season. He was placed on the disabled list April 21.
