Sep. 10 4:52 PM PT5:52 PM MT6:52 PM CT7:52 PM ET12:52 AM GMT8:52 AM 北京时间-Pena has had season-ending surgery to repair two broken fingers on his left hand. The Rays expect a full recovery in eight to 10 weeks.
Analysis: Pena was injured Monday in New York when he was hit by a pitch from Yankees ace CC Sabathia. Dr. Doug Carlan performed surgery Thursday, inserting pins into the first baseman's left index and middle fingers. The Rays said the pins will be removed in four to six weeks. A first-time All-Star this year, Pena leads the AL with 39 homers. He finished with 100 RBIs.
Sep. 7 5:39 PM PT6:39 PM MT7:39 PM CT8:39 PM ET1:39 AM GMT9:39 AM 北京时间-Pena broke two fingers when he was hit by a CC Sabathia pitch in the opener of Monday's day-night doubleheader against the Yankees. Tampa Bay put Pena, who leads the AL with 39 homers and finished with 100 RBIs, on the 60-day disabled list.
Analysis: Pena was hurt on an 0-1 offering in the first inning, with the ball hitting his left hand and then his bat. Pena was examined by trainer Ron Porterfield and manager Joe Maddon for several minutes, remained in the game and swung at a third strike. He held his hand as he walked from the plate and was replaced in the bottom half by Willy Aybar. "It's very discouraging," Maddon said.
Sep. 5 12:24 PM PT1:24 PM MT2:24 PM CT3:24 PM ET8:24 PM GMT4:24 AM 北京时间-Pena had three hits and an RBI on Friday but the Rays lost 4-3 to Detroit.
Analysis: Although he's hitting .228 for the year, Pena has been great lately, going 19 for 53 (.358) with eight homers and 22 RBIs in his last 15 games. He easily leads the AL with 39 homers and needs to drive in one more run for his third straight 100-RBI season.

Sep. 1 2:57 PM PT3:57 PM MT4:57 PM CT5:57 PM ET10:57 PM GMT6:57 AM 北京时间-Pena hit his AL-best 38th homer, finished a triple shy of the cycle and drove in four runs to help the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Detroit Tigers 11-7 on Monday for a split of their four-game series.
Analysis: Pena's two-run shot in Monday's game gave him 12 since Aug. 5. He is nine homers shy of setting a career high and surpassing his 46 in 2007.
Aug. 26 10:46 AM PT11:46 AM MT12:46 PM CT1:46 PM ET6:46 PM GMT2:46 AM 北京时间-Pena hit two two-run homers, giving him 200 for his career as the Rays beat the Toronto Blue Jays 7-3 on Tuesday night.
Analysis: Pena has hit six homers in his last five games and 11 in his last 17. He's batting .455 (10 for 22) over his current seven-game hitting streak. Among the more amazing facts about Pena's season is that he has more home runs (37) than singles (35).
Aug. 23 11:39 AM PT12:39 PM MT1:39 PM CT2:39 PM ET7:39 PM GMT3:39 AM 北京时间-Pena homered twice and drove in the winning run with an RBI single in the 10th inning, giving the Rays a 5-4 victory over the Texas Rangers on Saturday night.

Analysis: Pena's homer was his 26th this season, but just the third in July.
Jul. 26 1:39 PM PT2:39 PM MT3:39 PM CT4:39 PM ET9:39 PM GMT5:39 AM 北京时间-Pena had two hits - including a solo homer in the ninth - and four RBIs as the Rays erased an eight-run deficit to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 10-9 on Saturday.
Analysis: Pena came in batting .133 (8 for 60) with one homer and four RBIs in July. Manager Joe Maddon said Pena will bat fifth or sixth for the foreseeable future.
Jul. 22 9:32 AM PT10:32 AM MT11:32 AM CT12:32 PM ET5:32 PM GMT1:32 AM 北京时间-Pena's sacrifice fly off Bobby Jenks capped a two-run ninth, and the Rays beat the Chicago White Sox 3-2.
Analysis: Pena, who entered Tuesday's game in the seventh inning, is 2 for 21 (.095) in his last seven contests.
Jul. 12 8:21 AM PT9:21 AM MT10:21 AM CT11:21 AM ET4:21 PM GMT12:21 AM 北京时间-Pena will replace Boston second baseman Dustin Pedroia on the American League roster for Tuesday's game All-Star game. Pedroia is not playing because of a personal matter.
Analysis: Pena leads the AL with 24 homers and will take part in the home run derby leading to the game in St. Louis. Pena was added to the squad by AL manager Joe Maddon of the Rays. The decision means all four of Tampa Bay's starting infielders will be on the team.
Jul. 11 11:27 AM PT12:27 PM MT1:27 PM CT2:27 PM ET7:27 PM GMT3:27 AM 北京时间-Pena hit a solo homer for Tampa Bay in Friday's 6-0 win over Oakland.
Analysis: Pena, who has 24 home runs on the season, is batting only .213 (13 for 61) with two homers and seven RBIs in his last 17 games.
Jun. 17 10:22 AM PT11:22 AM MT12:22 PM CT1:22 PM ET6:22 PM GMT2:22 AM 北京时间-Pena hit one of Tampa Bay's five homers in a 12-4 win over Colorado on Tuesday night.

Analysis: Pena's 18 home runs ranks second in the AL - behind New York first baseman Mark Teixeira's 19, but Wednesday's long ball marked his first in June. He was hitting .140 (6 for 43) over his previous 13 games and he is batting .227 this season.
Jun. 3 12:19 PM PT1:19 PM MT2:19 PM CT3:19 PM ET8:19 PM GMT4:19 AM 北京时间-Pena went 0 for 3 with three strikeouts against Kansas City on Tuesday.
Analysis: Pena is embroiled in a 1 for 16 slump and has struck out six times over that span.
May 23 12:23 PM PT1:23 PM MT2:23 PM CT3:23 PM ET8:23 PM GMT4:23 AM 北京时间-Pena ripped a three-run homer - his 15th - in Tampa Bay's 15-2 win over Florida on Friday night.
Analysis: With two homers in his last three games, Pena appears to have recovered from a brief slump. His home runs often come in bunches, so this could be a very good sign.

Analysis: The homer was Pena's major league-leading 12th of the year, and though the slugger hasn't added much outside of his homers to the lineup, he's certainly been an effective power source so far. He has 11 singles.
May 3 11:27 AM PT12:27 PM MT1:27 PM CT2:27 PM ET7:27 PM GMT3:27 AM 北京时间-Pena hit his major league-leading 11th home run for Tampa Bay in a 10-6 loss to Boston on Saturday.
