Analysis: Marte had the same problem after he pitched for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic this year. "He's just not right," manager Joe Girardi said before Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Angels was rained out. "He had an MRI, I believe, on Friday. He'll see the doctor tomorrow. We've got to get him 100 percent and he's not 100 percent."

Analysis: Marte has tightness in the left side of his chest, which he thinks stems from weightlifting. He had been with the Dominican Republic team at the WBC. The Journal News is reporting that the examination showed some inflammation in his left shoulder but that he hopes to begin pitching again in a few days.
