Sep. 25 12:15 PM PT1:15 PM MT2:15 PM CT3:15 PM ET8:15 PM GMT4:15 AM 北京时间-Thome grounded out as a pinch hitter in Los Angeles' 7-6 win over Washington on Thursday night, and is just 2 for 11 since his acquisition on Aug. 31.
Analysis: When asked before the game if he was disappointed he hadn't seen the real Thome, Torre replied: "I've seen the real Jim Thome. Unfortunately, it was across the field when I played against him."
Sep. 1 11:34 PM PT12:34 AM MT1:34 AM CT2:34 AM ET7:34 AM GMT3:34 PM 北京时间-The Dodgers acquired Thome from the Chicago White Sox on Monday.
Analysis: Thome, who has not played first base since playing one game in 2007, goes from a third-place team trailing Detroit and Minnesota in the American League Central Division to the first-place Dodgers, who came into Monday night leading the NL West by six games. The deal also reunites Thome with Manny Ramirez, his teammate on the Cleveland Indians in the 1990s. The 39-year-old Thome is hitting .252 with 23 home runs and 74 RBI in 106 games.
Aug. 28 1:04 PM PT2:04 PM MT3:04 PM CT4:04 PM ET9:04 PM GMT5:04 AM 北京时间-Thome turned 38 and had three hits Thursday in a 9-5 win at Boston.
Analysis: It was Thome's first three-hit game since opening day against Kansas City. That explains why he is batting just .258 this year - his inability to string together hits.
Aug. 16 10:04 AM PT11:04 AM MT12:04 PM CT1:04 PM ET6:04 PM GMT2:04 AM 北京时间-Thome hit a solo homer in the ninth inning of Saturday's 8-1 win over Oakland that tied him with Reggie Jackson for 12th place on the all-time home run list (563).
Analysis: Thome needs six homers to tie Rafael Palmeiro for 11th place all-time.
Aug. 11 10:34 AM PT11:34 AM MT12:34 PM CT1:34 PM ET6:34 PM GMT2:34 AM 北京时间-Thome, who will yield some playing time to newly acquired Alex Rios according to manager Ozzie Guillen, went 0 for 4 with three strikeouts Monday in a 6-4 loss at Seattle.
Analysis: The addition of Rios clearly gives Thome less at-bats. He may become a part-time player for the rest of his career.
Aug. 9 9:53 AM PT10:53 AM MT11:53 AM CT12:53 PM ET5:53 PM GMT1:53 AM 北京时间-Thome had two hits Saturday in an 8-5 victory over the Indians.
Analysis: Thome hit his 21st homer and is hitting .324 against his former club this year.
Aug. 6 11:51 AM PT12:51 PM MT1:51 PM CT2:51 PM ET7:51 PM GMT3:51 AM 北京时间-Thome hit a pair of home runs to help the White Sox take a 6-2 win over the visiting Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday night.
Analysis: Thome's third multihomer game this season and 44th of his career also gave him 561 home runs, leaving him three shy of passing Reggie Jackson for 12th place on the all-time list. His third homer in three games also helped him reach 20 for the 15th time in 19 seasons.
Aug. 1 10:50 AM PT11:50 AM MT12:50 PM CT1:50 PM ET6:50 PM GMT2:50 AM 北京时间-Thome had two hits Friday night in a 10-5 win over the New York Yankees.
Analysis: Thome is 3 for 8 in two games since returning after missing four with a sore back.
Jul. 31 8:17 AM PT9:17 AM MT10:17 AM CT11:17 AM ET4:17 PM GMT12:17 AM 北京时间-After missing three games with a sore back, Thome returned in Thursday night's 3-2 win over the visiting New York Yankees and went 1 for 4 with a run scored.
Analysis: Thome is tied for third in the AL in walks and is eighth with a .395 on-base percentage. But he was just 2 for 13 with two RBIs on the team's previous road trip.
Jul. 19 10:59 AM PT11:59 AM MT12:59 PM CT1:59 PM ET6:59 PM GMT2:59 AM 北京时间-Thome followed his two-homer, seven-RBI game with a double, a single and his 1,606th career walk, which moved him past Darrell Evans into 11th all-time in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Orioles.

Jul. 18 12:58 PM PT1:58 PM MT2:58 PM CT3:58 PM ET8:58 PM GMT4:58 AM 北京时间-Thome hit a grand slam and a three-run homer for a career-high seven RBIs Friday night, carrying the Chicago White Sox to a 12-8 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.
Analysis: His sixth-inning grand slam, which broke open what had been a one-run game, easily cleared the center-field fence and was estimated at 448 feet. Thome has 557 career homers _ only six fewer than Reggie Jackson, who ranks 12th on baseball's all-time list _ and can tell when he hits one purely. With 14 RBIs in his last three games, Thome increased his career total to 1,545 and passed Harry Heilmann and Willie Stargell into 41st place on baseball's all-time list.
Jul. 12 5:00 PM PT6:00 PM MT7:00 PM CT8:00 PM ET1:00 AM GMT9:00 AM 北京时间-Thome hit his 555th career homer, a three-run drive in the sixth, in a 13-7 loss at Minnesota on Sunday.

Jul. 12 9:53 AM PT10:53 AM MT11:53 AM CT12:53 PM ET5:53 PM GMT1:53 AM 北京时间-Thome had four RBIS in Chicago's 8-7 win over the Twins on Saturday.
Analysis: With Saturday's effort, Thome boosted his RBI total to 47. He had just four RBIs in his previous 20 games.
Jul. 2 1:07 PM PT2:07 PM MT3:07 PM CT4:07 PM ET9:07 PM GMT5:07 AM 北京时间-Thome was 2 for 3 with a walk and a run in Chicago's 6-2 win over Cleveland on Wednesday.
Analysis: Thome recorded his 1,600th walk, breaking a tie with Hall of Famer Stan Musial for 12th on the career list. Next up is Darrell Evans (1,605). Thome is 5 for 18 (.278) with a homer, three RBIs and a .519 OBP in his last six games.

Analysis: Thome's performance came after he endured an 0 for 12 slump over the previous eight games, while serving as a pinch-hitter in those interleague matchups.
Jun. 12 12:12 PM PT1:12 PM MT2:12 PM CT3:12 PM ET8:12 PM GMT4:12 AM 北京时间-Thome went 2 for 3 with two RBIs in Thursday's 4-3 win over Detroit.

Jun. 2 10:28 AM PT11:28 AM MT12:28 PM CT1:28 PM ET6:28 PM GMT2:28 AM 北京时间-Thome hit the 550th homer of his career in the eighth inning to put the White Sox ahead and Chicago went on to beat the Oakland Athletics 6-2 on Monday night.
Analysis: He was 2 for 4 with three RBIs in the game, and he has been swinging a hot bat lately. He is 9 for 24 (.375) with 10 RBIs in his last seven games.

Analysis: The 38-year-old designated hitter said he felt worn down at the end of last season, and it took him a little longer to recover. "Your body, as you get older, you feel different," Thome said. "Still, I feel good now." Thome hit 34 homers in 2008 with a .245 average and 90 RBIs. His long homer in the seventh inning of the one-game playoff against Minnesota on Sept. 30 gave the Sox a 1-0 win. It was his 541st career home run.
