Analysis: Woodhead's injury leaves the Chargers with just three healthy running backs -- Melvin Gordon, Kenneth Farrow and Andre Williams.
Sep. 18, 20161:21 PM PT2:21 PM MT3:21 PM CT4:21 PM ET20:21 GMT4:21 AM 北京时间1:21 PM MST3:21 PM EST3:21 PM CT0:21 UAE (+1)16:21 ET19:21 - Woodhead was helped off the field Sunday in the first quarter with a right leg injury. He caught a pass for a 4-yard gain and was tackled by Jaguars linebacker Telvin Smith and stayed down for a few minutes until the training staff helped him up. Woodhead wasn't putting weight on his leg as he came off the field.
Analysis: Woodhead rushed for 89 yards in last week's season opener at Kansas City and also ripped off a 23-yard run on San Diego's first drive, setting up Melvin Gordon's 3-yard touchdown run. With the Chargers already down Keenan Allen for the season, losing Woodhead and his pass-catching ability would be very tough to overcome.
Sep. 11, 20162:15 PM PT3:15 PM MT4:15 PM CT5:15 PM ET21:15 GMT5:15 AM 北京时间2:15 PM MST4:15 PM EST4:15 PM CT1:15 UAE (+1)17:15 ET20:15 - Woodhead had a terrific all-around game in Sunday's 33-27 overtime loss to the Chiefs. He ran for 89 yards on 16 carries and also caught five passes for 31 yards with a touchdown.
Analysis: With Keenan Allen likely out for the season, Woodhead takes on greater importance in San Diego's offense with his ability to catch out of the backfield. Woodhead's 89 yards on the ground in the season opener were the second-highest total of his career, four yards shy of his personal best set in 2010 with the Patriots.
June 15, 20162:29 PM PT3:29 PM MT4:29 PM CT5:29 PM ET21:29 GMT5:29 AM 北京时间2:29 PM MST4:29 PM EST4:29 PM CT1:29 UAE (+1)17:29 ET20:29 - Woodhead went down with a sprained left ankle during the Chargers' minicamp Wednesday and stayed down for several minutes. He eventually got up and walked off the field on his own power.
Analysis: Woodhead led the team with 80 catches, 755 receiving yards and six touchdown receptions last season while also rushing 98 times for 336 yards and three scores.
