Analysis: Fitzpatrick threw for 3,800 yards with 24 touchdowns and 16 interceptions last year and had been the Bills' primary starter since 2010. He said going back to being a backup will be a challenge after four years as a starter in Buffalo. He has a family with four children and had roots in Buffalo along with a six-year, $59 million deal he signed in October 2011.
Mar. 12 12:39 PM PT1:39 PM MT2:39 PM CT3:39 PM ET19:39 GMT3:39 AM 北京时间12:39 PM MST2:39 PM EST1:39 PM CT23:39 UAE15:39 ET18:39 - Fitzpatrick is out in Buffalo, the first major move as NFL free agency began Tuesday.
Analysis: The Bills' starting quarterback was cut 1 1/2 years after getting a six-year, $59 million contract extension. Fitzpatrick struggled after signing the new deal, and the Bills went 6-10 in 2011 and in 2012. Buffalo has not made the playoffs since 1999, the longest active streak in the NFL. For now, the Bills' No. 1 quarterback is Tarvaris Jackson.

Analysis: Fitzpatrick's future remains in question. He's coming off his second inconsistent season as starter. He's also due to earn a $3 million bonus this month as part of a six-year, $59 million contract extension he signed in October 2011.
