Analysis: The team announced the move Saturday, a day after Cundiff didn't practice with an unspecified knee injury. Cundiff had missed an attempt in each of the past five games. Cundiff failed on a 40-yard attempt last week in a 25-24 loss to Indianapolis. The 34-year-old Cundiff made 22 of 29 field goals in his second season with Cleveland. Last year, he was good on 21 of 26.

Cundiff was eligible to hit the free-agent market next week, but he'll stay with the Browns. Terms of the deal announced Thursday were not immediately available.
Analysis: Cundiff made 21 of 26 field-goal attempts and made 32 extra points in 16 games. Cundiff also set a Cleveland franchise record with 42 touchbacks.
