Jan. 3, 20161:55 PM PT2:55 PM MT3:55 PM CT4:55 PM ET21:55 GMT5:55 AM 北京时间2:55 PM MST4:55 PM EST3:55 PM CT1:55 UAE (+1)16:55 ET19:55 - Mallett was 30 of 56 for 292 yards, a TD and two INTs in Sunday's loss to Cincinnati.
Analysis: Mallett's not going to be a permanent starter in this league anytime soon. He finished the season split between Houston and Baltimore with a 55.7 completion percentage and five TDs with six INTs for a 67.9 rating.
Dec. 27, 201512:56 PM PT1:56 PM MT2:56 PM CT3:56 PM ET20:56 GMT4:56 AM 北京时间1:56 PM MST3:56 PM EST2:56 PM CT0:56 UAE (+1)15:56 ET18:56 - Mallett went 28 of 41 for 274 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over Pittsburgh in his Baltimore debut.
Analysis: Mallett became the Ravens' fourth starter in six weeks and led them to a surprising victory. He had two touchdowns and four interceptions in four starts with Houston before being cut.
Dec. 16, 201512:56 PM PT1:56 PM MT2:56 PM CT3:56 PM ET20:56 GMT4:56 AM 北京时间1:56 PM MST3:56 PM EST2:56 PM CT0:56 UAE (+1)15:56 ET18:56 - Mallett says he's "grown up a lot" since being cut in October by Houston. The quarterback was signed by Baltimore on Tuesday. He will back up Matt Schaub and Jimmy Clausen, but could play a bigger role next season.
Analysis: Mallett missed a practice and a team flight this season while with the Texans. He played in six games, starting four, before being released. After his first practice Wednesday, Mallett said he's a different person than when he played for the Texans. "The best thing probably was for me to be cut. I've learned a lot from it. ... It was a piece of humble pie, but it digested real quickly."
Dec. 14, 201511:08 AM PT12:08 PM MT1:08 PM CT2:08 PM ET19:08 GMT3:08 AM 北京时间12:08 PM MST2:08 PM EST1:08 PM CT23:08 UAE14:08 ET17:08 - The Baltimore Ravens have signed Mallett, who played in six games with Houston earlier this season.
Analysis: Mallett started four games with the Texans this season before being cut on Oct. 27. He threw three touchdown passes and four interceptions. Over his career, the 27-year-old Mallett has played in 13 games, throwing five TDs and seven interceptions while compiling a lackluster 62.7 quarterback rating.
Dec. 2, 20152:16 PM PT3:16 PM MT4:16 PM CT5:16 PM ET22:16 GMT6:16 AM 北京时间3:16 PM MST5:16 PM EST4:16 PM CT2:16 UAE (+1)17:16 ET20:16 - Mallett is working out for the Ravens.
Analysis: Mallett has little fantasy value but scoop him up if you are desperate.
Oct. 27, 20158:57 AM PT9:57 AM MT10:57 AM CT11:57 AM ET15:57 GMT11:57 PM 北京时间8:57 AM MST10:57 AM EST9:57 AM CT19:57 UAE11:57 ET13:57 - Mallett has been released by the Houston Texans in the wake of missing the team's charter flight this weekend, a source familiar with the move told The Associated Press.
Analysis: Mallett said he missed the flight because of traffic and he took a commercial flight to meet the team in Miami. It wasn't the first time he'd missed a team activity after he overslept and missed a practice in training camp. Mallett lost the starting job in training camp, but took over in the season opener after Brian Hoyer struggled. But Mallett didn't perform well either and was benched in favor of Hoyer in the middle of a game against Indianapolis on Oct. 8.
Oct. 26, 20153:53 PM PT4:53 PM MT5:53 PM CT6:53 PM ET22:53 GMT6:53 AM 北京时间3:53 PM MST5:53 PM EST4:53 PM CT2:53 UAE (+1)18:53 ET20:53 - Mallett may be safe with Houston.
Analysis: Mallett missed the team flight Saturday and coach Bill O'Brien reportedly was on the verge of cutting him loose, but now reports are saying that GM Rick Smith was not on board with that decision.
Oct. 9, 201511:56 AM PT12:56 PM MT1:56 PM CT2:56 PM ET18:56 GMT2:56 AM 北京时间11:56 AM MST1:56 PM EST1:56 PM CT22:56 UAE14:56 ET17:56 - Brian Hoyer has his job back as Houston's starting quarterback, moving Ryan Mallett to the sideline.
Analysis: Hoyer won the job out of camp but was pulled in the fourth quarter of a season-opening loss to the Chiefs. Mallett has started since then, but he has struggled and Hoyer took over in both of the last two games as the Texans fell to 1-4. Hoyer replaced Mallett in the second quarter on Thursday night and threw for 312 yards and two touchdowns.
Oct. 8, 20158:51 PM PT9:51 PM MT10:51 PM CT11:51 PM ET3:51 GMT11:51 AM 北京时间8:51 PM MST10:51 PM EST10:51 PM CT7:51 UAE (+1)23:51 ET2:51 - Mallett was 7 of 10 for 50 yards Thursday against the Colts before being knocked out on a hard shot to the chest from Sio Moore in the second quarter.
Analysis: Mallett never came back in as Hoyer impressed once he took over, but it's not clear if Hoyer officially unseated him as Houston's starter. Either way, this is a situation to avoid.
Oct. 5, 201511:30 AM PT12:30 PM MT1:30 PM CT2:30 PM ET18:30 GMT2:30 AM 北京时间11:30 AM MST1:30 PM EST1:30 PM CT22:30 UAE14:30 ET17:30 - The Texans are sticking with Mallett as their starting quarterback despite his recent struggles.
Analysis: Coach Bill O'Brien says that Mallett is their starter but that he "knows he has to play better." Mallett threw an interception and didn't lead the Texans to any points before was replaced by Brian Hoyer late in a 48-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Hoyer threw two touchdown passes and directed three scoring drives late against a Falcons defense that had pulled most of its starters.
Oct. 4, 20157:46 PM PT8:46 PM MT9:46 PM CT10:46 PM ET2:46 GMT10:46 AM 北京时间7:46 PM MST9:46 PM EST9:46 PM CT6:46 UAE (+1)22:46 ET1:46 - Mallett's awful performance caused the Texans to turn back to Brian Hoyer.
Analysis: With the Texans down by 42 points, Mallett left after he was 12 of 27 for 150 yards and a pitiful rating of 46.8.
Sep. 21, 201512:25 PM PT1:25 PM MT2:25 PM CT3:25 PM ET19:25 GMT3:25 AM 北京时间12:25 PM MST2:25 PM EST2:25 PM CT23:25 UAE15:25 ET18:25 - Mallett underwhelmed Sunday in his first start against the Panthers, completing 27 of 58 passes for 244 yards, a touchdown and an pick.
Analysis: Mallett averaged just 4.2 yards per attempt, showing he isn't worth fantasy consideration.
Sep. 16, 201510:20 AM PT11:20 AM MT12:20 PM CT1:20 PM ET17:20 GMT1:20 AM 北京时间10:20 AM MST12:20 PM EST12:20 PM CT21:20 UAE13:20 ET16:20 - Houston coach Bill O'Brien says quarterback Ryan Mallett will start for the Texans on Sunday at Carolina.
Analysis: O'Brien had said earlier in the week that he wouldn't announce a decision until game time. But after the news got out on Wednesday, O'Brien decided to make it official on Thursday.
Sep. 14, 20155:13 PM PT6:13 PM MT7:13 PM CT8:13 PM ET0:13 GMT8:13 AM 北京时间5:13 PM MST7:13 PM EST7:13 PM CT4:13 UAE (+1)20:13 ET23:13 - Coach Bill O'Brien said he knows who will start at quarterback against Carolina this weekend, but wouldn't say whether it will be Brian Hoyer or Mallett.
Analysis: O'Brien said Monday, "You'll have to wait until the first offensive play of the Carolina game to see who the quarterback will be." Mallett replaced the ineffective Hoyer in the opener and threw a touchdown pass and 2-point conversion on his first drive in the fourth quarter. His second possession resulted in a Texans' field goal.
Sep. 13, 201511:50 AM PT12:50 PM MT1:50 PM CT2:50 PM ET18:50 GMT2:50 AM 北京时间11:50 AM MST1:50 PM EST1:50 PM CT22:50 UAE14:50 ET17:50 - Mallett went 8 for 13 for 98 yards and a touchdown after replacing Brian Hoyer in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to Kansas City.
Analysis: Mallett looked more sharp than an ineffective Hoyer, and it wouldn't be surprising if he's named the starter for Houston's Week 2 game against Carolina.
Aug. 27, 20159:38 AM PT10:38 AM MT11:38 AM CT12:38 PM ET16:38 GMT12:38 AM 北京时间9:38 AM MST11:38 AM EST11:38 AM CT20:38 UAE12:38 ET15:38 - Mallett did not attend Thursday's practice for what coach Bill O'Brien termed a personal issue.
Analysis: O'Brien did not further elaborate on Mallett's absence but did say he expects him to return Friday. Mallett was vocal with his unhappiness over being named the backup to Brian Hoyer earlier in the week.
Aug. 25, 20158:37 AM PT9:37 AM MT10:37 AM CT11:37 AM ET15:37 GMT11:37 PM 北京时间8:37 AM MST10:37 AM EST10:37 AM CT19:37 UAE11:37 ET14:37 - Mallett was still seething on Tuesday, a day after Brian Hoyer beat him out to earn Houston's starting quarterback job. Mallett says: "Am I disappointed? Yeah. Angry? Little bit. Thought I did enough to deserve the job. But it was not seen that way so I'll do what's best for the team."
Analysis: Coach Bill O'Brien, who announced the decision on Monday, wouldn't expect Mallett to be happy about losing the job and says it shows what kind of competitor he is. The Texans played four quarterbacks last season because of injuries. Mallett, who started two games last season, thinks he'll get a chance to play.
Aug. 23, 20157:44 AM PT8:44 AM MT9:44 AM CT10:44 AM ET14:44 GMT10:44 PM 北京时间7:44 AM MST9:44 AM EST9:44 AM CT18:44 UAE10:44 ET13:44 - Mallett, competing with Brian Hoyer to be Houston's starting quarterback, opened the game on Saturday.
Analysis: Mallett failed to move the offense, and the Texans punted on his two possessions. Hoyer was also unable to get into the end zone in his four drives. Coach Bill O'Brien said the competition remains "very even."
Mar. 10, 20152:18 PM PT3:18 PM MT4:18 PM CT5:18 PM ET21:18 GMT5:18 AM 北京时间2:18 PM MST4:18 PM EST3:18 PM CT1:18 UAE (+1)17:18 ET20:18 - The Houston Texans have re-signed Mallett and inside linebacker Jeff Tarpinian. Mallett, who is the front-runner to start for Houston next season, signed a two-year extension worth $7 million, with $1.75 guaranteed.
Analysis: He was acquired in a trade from New England in August and started twice in three appearances for Houston before tearing a pectoral muscle and missing the rest of the season. Mallett wanted to return to Houston and is eager to compete for the starting job. He's still recovering from surgery on his torn pectoral muscle, but should be healthy soon and ready to vie with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tom Savage to start for the Texans.
Mar. 9, 201512:01 PM PT1:01 PM MT2:01 PM CT3:01 PM ET19:01 GMT3:01 AM 北京时间12:01 PM MST2:01 PM EST1:01 PM CT23:01 UAE15:01 ET18:01 - Mallett has agreed to terms on a two-year contract to remain with the Houston Texans. A person familiar with the contract tells The Associated Press on Monday that the deal is worth $7 million over two years, with $1.75 million guaranteed. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team has not announced the contract.
Analysis: Mallett joined Houston last year in a trade with New England. A third-round draft pick by the Patriots in 2011, he appeared in only four games for them as Tom Brady's backup. But he started twice in three appearances for Houston before tearing a pectoral muscle and missing the rest of the season. He's projected as the 2015 starter for the Texans, who also have Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tom Savage under contract and have shown interest in free agent Brian Hoyer.
