Texas Tech rolls on, routs Texas-San Antonio

(TSX / STATS) -- Five players scored in double figures Wednesday night as Texas Tech upped its record to 8-1 with an 87-50 nonconference rout of Texas-San Antonio at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas.

Guards Keenan Evans and Niem Stevenson paced the Red Raiders with a game-high 16 points apiece, combining to hit 12-of-19 field goals. Reserve Matthew Temple contributed 13 points, while Justin Gray and Anthony Livingston chipped in 10 each.

Texas Tech never trailed, taking the lead 69 seconds into the game and expanding the lead throughout against the outmanned Roadrunners (2-7). The Red Raiders doubled UTSA up at the half by 42-21, then kept executing and defending in a second half that was a replay of the first.
